The core concept behind our virtual server services is one of providing control to you the user. When you use this service, you are provided with root access to what is effectively your own personal server. You can install whatever packages you want and you can provide whatever services you want. This service is really geared towards the power user who doesn't want to be constrained within the limits of normal hosting.

Base Service

The base Virtual Server is provisioned on one of our dual processor hosts with 256Mb of RAM, 5Gb of disk space and a single IP address. Currently we can install Debian 'Lenny' or 'Squeeze' or we can install your choice of Linux distribution.

Additional Resources

Additional resources can be added to your VPS as follows:

  • Memory: The most common cause for poor VPS performance is page swapping, this can be remedied with more memory Price: $3/128Mb/month
  • Disk space: if 5Gb is not enough, you can add more disk space Price : $4/5Gb/month
  • IP addresses: if you need additional IP addresses (for example when serving multiple secure websites) they too can be provisioned Price: $3/month

Each additional resource will be initially prorated and billed on the same schedule as your base VPS service
